Femslash Exchange Letter
Sep. 21st, 2020 02:58 pmDear Author,
I’m so excited that you will be writing for me. I can’t wait for reveal day. I love contributing new femslash works to the world, and I’m also super giddy that you are writing femslash just for me.
I promise that I’m not picky. I’m looking forward to whatever you come up with and my main wish is that you have fun writing it. Mainly what I am looking for is two women having a good time. True love is optional, but given the darkness of the world right now, I would prefer something light or at least, angst that turns into joy.
For my requests, I picked fandoms and/or pairings that are amazing, but I could never write, so I don’t even have any prompts this time. I’m just eager to see what someone can do with these ideas. I especially love f/f HisRom, but I am terrible at writing it, so I will love you forever if you give me some (there are only so many times I can reread Lady’s Guide. Maybe).
Likes:
Porn with plot and without it. Fluff, humor, and romance are all welcome, but a darker, angstier tone is good as well, as long as the angst isn’t about one of the characters not wanting to have sex or be in the relationship. I like romance, but I tend to prefer external obstacles to people being together, which goes against the grain of the genre a bit, but I just want women to feel comfortable wanting each other! (I will, however, gladly accept long periods of yearning instead.)
This year has been incredibly hard, though, so a happy ending would be greatly appreciated (it doesn’t need to be a HEA, or even a romantic happy ending, just people being okay and having joy).
Enthusiastic consent. Enthusiastic D/s if you wish to go kinky, with a submissive that knows what she wants and enjoys herself. Enthusiastic anything.
Well-negotiated kink and/or characters learning about kink and their likes and dislikes together. Romantic and sexual exploration of any kind. I love when everyone is gay and past figuring things out, but I also love when someone is discovering things about themselves that bring them happiness.
After-care (it doesn’t need to be explicitly pointed out, it can just be a cuddle/moment of affection after any kinky scene).
Respect for hard and soft limits. Agreed upon forced orgasms are fine, though.
Bondage and sensory deprivation will make me love you.
Fingering. Toys.
Any Non-penetrative sex, especially cunnilingus. Clit and nipple play.
Orgasm denial and forced orgasms.
Clothed sex.
Light pain play.
Anal sex and anal training.
Yearning. Pining. You know, sapphic stuff (never necessary, but always appreciated)
DNW:
Story written in second person (everything else is fine).
Fellatio. I just hate it and I really don’t want it in my explicit stuff.
One of the characters spending the entire fic thinking about how what they are doing is wrong and they don’t want it, but they do it anyway because they are aroused. One of the characters being frightened of the sexual acts taking place.
Non-negotiated or under-negotiated kink (negotiation doesn’t need to be on page, but please make it clear that both parties have agreed to what is happening in some way). Submissive being led blindly through their first kinky scene. One of the characters saying they are not comfortable doing something and the other convincing them they need to fight their discomfort, especially if the character is new to BDSM and is told that this is what submissives do.
Dominant character deciding unilaterally to train another character into being their submissive/pet/plaything/slave and never consulting the other character about if this is something they might want and what it entails. Dominant character sending the submissive away without after-care after anything BDSM related. (Fade to black when it comes to after-care is fine.)
Manipulation, blackmail, or gaslighthing. The judgment of either party being impaired or either party feeling pressured by financial or societal circumstances to consent to sex.
If one of the characters is underage, make sure there is no grooming.
A/B/O, sex pollen, and heat. If HP or any fantasy related fandom, no magical bonds, soulmates that are compelled to together, love potions, or situations where the brain or body are altered by magic to compel two characters that are repulsed by one another to have sex.
Scat, vore, vomit, or watersports. Pregnancy, breeding, or oviposition. It’s fine if the characters have children and children are mentioned, though.
Abuse, misogyny, racism, homophobia, ableism, or transphobia. The exception goes for characters that have prejudice in canon, as long as they are not wielding those views inside the relationship. Please, also try to steer away from racial stereotypes or misconceptions. As a WOC, I honestly prefer if all white characters to under-researched and cringey characters of color. If you are not sure if you can write an identity well, it’s best not to write it all.
Self-harm or extreme mental illness.
